Purpose: CONNECTAutoUpdate.exe - This is the automatic update application for Sony Connect player software and media store. Connect software allows users to download music, video, and books. It is downloaded directly from Sony and can be played only on Sony players. Connect is for use with Windows operating systems and Internet Explorer. Sony has lost court decisions as recent as February 2007 over its DRM restrictions. The courts decided that Sony is not doing enough to inform Connect users that the media must be played using a Sony Player. See the links that follow.
