Purpose: RNATHCHK.EXE - Part of the RealOne player, the purpose of this file seems to be to detect and install updates to the software. However, some versions of the Real.com license indicate this can be done without your knowledge or approval, so we recommend that you disable this service. If disabled via the standard methods (such as MSConfig), RealOne will start it anyway. You should be able prevent it from running by renaming the RNATHCHK.EXE file to RNATHCHK.OLD. (You will need to terminate RNATHCHK.EXE via Task Manager before you can rename it.)

rnathchk.exe uses excessive system and memory resources with no corresponding benefit. Applications such as these should be disabled to improve overall system performance.
