evntsvc.exe - This program reports information about your usage of RealOne player to Real Networks over the Internet, and delivers advertising. You cannot totally prevent pop-up ads and reporting of this application without removing RealOne. However, you can disable eventsvc.exe and still use RealPlayer:

  • Open RealOne Player
  • Click Tools | Preferences | Connection (double-click Connection to expand) | Internet Settings
  • Put a check in the "Only perform automatic services while RealOne Player is in use" box.
  • Click "No" button on the pop-up dialog to confirm the change.
  • Click OK button in Preferences to confirm the change

evntsvc.exe  uses excessive system and memory resources with no corresponding benefit. Applications such as these should be disabled to improve overall system performance.
