realsched.exe is a scheduler for some generally unneeded functions. This scheduler occasionally checks to make sure that Realplayer "owns" certain media types. To disable this functionality, start RealOne and select Tools | Preferences | Automatic Services and clear all the checkboxes.

RealPlayer's tray icon, called StartCenter, runs when Windows starts to preload some RealPlayer components and provide a tray icon to access RealPlayer.
However, it also uses up valuable system resources. To disable, right-click the RealPlayer icon on the tray near the clock and select Preferences. (Or, from Realplayer itself select View | Preferences to bring you to the same dialog.) On the General tab click the Settings button under StartCenter. In the dialog, clear the check box next to Enable StartCenter.

realsched.exe  uses excessive system and memory resources with no corresponding benefit. Applications such as these should be disabled to improve overall system performance.

PC Pitstop recommends WinPatrol Plus for monitoring all of the background activity on your PC. WinPatrol Plus provides an easy to understand descriptions of over 15,000 processes and programs.

MD5 hashes is the way that computers can define the uniqueness of a file. Anti malware vendors frequently use this technique to detect and clean malware. It is common for a program to have multiple MD5 hashes as the developers create newer versions of the program. Important Note

A file name alone may not be enough for positive identification. PC Pitstop's Overdrive tests and spyware scan use information such as the company name, product name, or install directory.

If you are unable to identify a file, ask about it in our forums after running our full tests.
