PC Matic Analysis

Purpose: sessmgr.exe - Remote Desktop Help Session Manager. This service manages and controls Remote Assistance, a subset of Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Sharing technology. Unless Remote Assistance has been set up on your PC by your network manager, or you set it up, then it is 99% certain that you do not need to have this service running. To disable this service go into “Control Panel \ Administrative Tools \ Services”, look for the Remote Desktop Help Session Manager service and set it to Disabled.

sessmgr.exe uses excessive system and memory resources with no corresponding benefit. Applications such as these should be disabled to improve overall system performance.
