Win Patrol

STIMON.EXE - Provides imaging-related services to graphics programs. STIMON is generally not an essential program except for imaging applications and hardware such as scanners. When you run an application that requires it, the application will try to start STIMON if it isn't already running. It does not need to be started at boot time and can be disabled with MSConfig's Startup tab.

stimon.exe  is an essential part of Windows and required for Windows to work properly. It should never be disabled.
