Top 20 Virus Names
Put Suspicious Product Names on a Watch List

Most software has two names; the product name and the file name. For example, “Google Chrome” (product name) could have the file name of “setup.exe.” Virus writers use our familiarity with legitimate software program names like “SetupManager" or company names as "Flash Player Pro", "Adobe Flash Player", and "Java Runtime" to try and make us think the program is legit.

As with bogus file names, PC Matic also keeps track of and blocks product names known to be used by virus makers, without wrongly blocking legitimate programs with similar or identical names, adding even more protection over traditional AV products.
