The Acer Aspire One weighs just over 2 pounds and is packed with a 160 GB hard drive and Windows XP operating system. It has 8.9-inch CrystalBrite WSVGA LED backlit display, integrated webcam, and Intel's Atom mobile processor. Other features include a 160 GB hard drive, a 6-cell battery for up to 5.5 hours of battery life, 1 GB of installed RAM (1.5 GB maximum), 54g Wi-Fi networking (802.11b/g), multi-format memory card reader, and multiple USB ports.

It has cheerfully done everything I've asked it to do, and believe me, I asked a lot. I'm already running at least 40 programs regularly and have had no problems. It has not hung up on anything or any software. Highly recommended. |

| 6/9/2009 5:18:11 AM | Something went wrong while running power on battery. The system rebooted without warning and prompted for an admin password to log in (bios). I hadn't had a the bios password protected prior to this. I haven't been able to fix it and Acer will charge an hourly or per-call cost for support. |

Today a virus turned off my firewall and blocked access to my security center from the desk top. Then the my execute files stopped opening properly and started going to the "open with" drop down menu. I was able to test this computer from your website, but not from the program files on the computer itself, e.g. unable to opeen aan exe file.. |
