| 5/11/2011 5:14:24 AM | I am not sure if it is the graphics card or the drivers, but the system will hang with just a single color filling the monitor and I have to do a hard reboot. I really should have purchased a larger SSD - why the vendor was pushing a 30 gig SSD and then installed Windows 7 and all of the other software (MS Office, DVD utilities, etc.), makes absolutely no sense to me. I had to uninstall most of the utilities just to keep the C drive able to download and install compresed Windows updates. |

| 12/30/2010 7:09:54 AM | I just recently bought an upgrade package, which included a new motherboard, RAM-mems and a processor: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 6GB CL9 x 3 Intel Core™ i7 Quad Processor i7-950 At first, there were no problems at all, I even managed without having to reinstall it, but as time went, the problems started to show. Ended up reinstalling the whole thing. As I did this I did not realise that I had wired the hard drives opposite to their previous slots. So I ended up having 2 versions of Windows 7 installed, one on each hard drive. Time went, and I had no problems as far as I could tell, until a few days later. I began to recieve Bluescreens repeatedly during start-ups, and they just wouldn't stop! At last, I got through and the comp seemed to work just fine, which I found really troubling. These bluescreens kept coming but I managed to get through every time. Yesterday, it got to the point where I couldn't stand it, I had been waiting for 15 minutes for the explorer to get started. As it did, I noticed several severe malfunctions in software. It said my firewall was down, my programs could not be reached for god knows what reason. This got me into thinking Viruses, and I thought reinstalling would help. It did not. I began the reinstallation of Windows, and got to the stage where it wanted to reboot to finish. I let it do so, and as it came back on, I got an error-message saying "Unable to reach data, please turn the computer off and try start the installation over." Which I did, no change: "Unable to reach data, please turn the computer off and try start the installation over." This got me into thinking hard drive problems, which it turned out to be, or atleast seemed the most likely, since the installation after that worked just fine (after me completely disconnecting the primary drive). I now have Windows installed onto my secondary drive, and the primary completely left out, and now these F**KING BLUESCREENS ARE BACK! I'm now at the point of desperation, I know it could be my brand new RAM-mems or my motherboard, but where do I start? |
