10/15/2010 2:01:16 PM WESTERN DIGITAL EXTERNAL HDD i.e. MY BOOK ESSENTIAL 500GB WHICH I OWN IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO UPDATE WD SOFWARE.ALTHOUGH,FIRWARE UPDATE,WAS A SUCCESS.SAYS SOMETHING TO THE EFFECT OF'WINDOWS .NET FRAMEWORK 3.5 MUST BE INSTALLED.WHILE I SUCCESSFULLY DELETED THE 4.0 CLIENT PROFILE ,SINCE I HAVE ITS INSTALLER BACKUP IN A SAFE LOCATION.UNTIL IT ALLOWS MY 3.5 NET FRAMEWORK TO INSTALL,I CAN'T MOVE FORWARD ON MY WD SOFTWARE UPDATE.Hhhmmm?

9/1/2010 7:20:47 PM I have a PCI/IDE Ultra 133 ATA controller that will not allow me to boot the computer. I believe I need an updated driver or perhaps it is just incompatible with the motherboeard.
