| 3/25/2010 8:37:06 AM | I received this computer as a gift at the end of 2007. Up until about 2 weeks ago, it had never been connected to the internet, it was just used for CD music storage and PC games and Word Processor. I finally got an adaptor that would connect me to the internet, and it worked great for a little while. I bought CA because I have used it on other computers before and I like the way it works. When i tried to install CA Security Suite 2010,, my computer started freaking out and this fake antivirus software was running and wouldn't let me run task manager or anything useful. The people at iYogi helped me out, and now my computer is protected, but very slow. When I use Internet Explorer, it is very slow, but I know I'm protected because I can see it working when i haver over links. When i use Google Chrome (which i prefer), it is very fast, but I'm not sure how much protection i'm getting when i use that browser because when i haver over those links, I don't see CA's verification window telling me if the link is safe or not. |

| 8/27/2011 3:51:12 AM | In the fall of 2009 we lost the use of our CD-ROM. We were unaware that it was not working for about 2 months. It was purchased from Circuit City in Feb 2007. We had purchased the optional 4 year extended coverage. A tech came in March 2010 and installed a brand new CD-Rom. He made it work in bios mode, and said that the problem was probably the Windows Vista operating system, and that we should contact them. I am hearing impaired and just cannot do that(besides I am just not that skilled on the computer, and my wife who is more skilled is working two jobs and just has not had the time.) The Cir.City extended coverage expired in Feb 2011. The CD-Rom still does not work. The card readers also do not work. We get the message that "The computer cannot find the CD-Rom. A Friend(who is somewhat of a "geek")keeps prodding me to get Windows 7. He feels that if he were to install it, that will solve all of our problems. If I can afford it, I will soon do it. I am hoping that PC-Matic will improve the unit. Thanks in advance. John E. Emrick |
