8/16/2011 9:25:26 AM I love my computer but it has become sluggish and does not respond to the mouse on the first try. It is very capable and serves our home purposes fine but I believe it can do better.

7/30/2009 6:27:41 PM PRIORITY:HIGH Dear Friends: I upgraded the software in AOL from 9.0 OPT to 9.1 and all seemed fine. The reason was that I was constantly getting this message in the upper left corner of the screen saying "AOL Not Responding." I called them AOL and we changed in MSCONFIG the "Normal" to "Selective" startup and did the Upgrade thinking that would solve the message "AOL Not Responding." issue which it seemed to do. AOL felt perhaps there was too many Programs running in the background. It appears at this moment that there was a connection problem with the wireless network/router to my computer. I could not Open my mail or go to web sites. Everything was slow or not working. Like using IE to log on to AOL or even Mozilla or go to My Favorites(web sites). At this exact moment it seems to be working OK. But in checking the Wireless LAN info page when it was not able to do anything the SPEED was fluctuating constantly between 1 Mbps to 54Mbps and suddenly just drop back to 1Mbps again. And that is where or when everything seemed to malfunction??!? The last effort was to use a shorter cord with the USB wireless adapter and try different locations to place it. Which seems to affect it's ability to have adequate signal/speed. Ideally, I would like the port to just be able to be plugged into the back of the small tower and not have to have any length of cable attached to it to be able to locate it where it will get a better signal. ANY thoughts or suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm new with this wireless stuff and have had to rely on outside help to retain the better function of my computer/Internet. Sincerely, Ralph PS: You came very "highly" recommended by a DR/friend that has used your services and knew of the problems I was having. PS: The last time I checked the Download speed was 14.66,Upload was 3.92 ping?

10/22/2010 1:13:24 AM Files have been infected and corrupted and even though I have cleaned the viruses and put in vault, ran malware software often, the PC continues to run slower and freezes up more and more everyday. It no longer can run without reboots every 20 minutes or so and I cant get it to shut down properly on its own, I have to turn off and back on manually.
