So we do another reBoot, the HD then IS recognized and everything is fine for a week or two?? Who knows? |

Its main problem is a tendency to start loading applications in MS Word and MS Excel very slowly indeed from individual data file icons (it can take 90 seconds or more). When this happens it is possible to open data files from within the application at normal speeds. |

The hard drive activity light on computer's front panel is always on and lit solid green, even from the second I reboot the computer and it powers back up. I really can't say if it was always on before, but I don't believe so. |
