2/5/2011 3:11:52 AM Right now recent problem with reading from dvd and cd drives. I removed drivers and reinstalled but may have a cableing problem and will try to unplug and replug drive cables. 10/12/2009 1:04:37 PM I don't know enough about how it should be running, what I could eliminate, understanding any messages I get like antivirus needs to have restart to install (repeatedly)even when I try to shut down and start up again, has remote assistance icon on it and Firefox (?) Firewall put on for my protection but I don't know how to use it so I'm having to trust techs I meet that help me, but can't afford to ask them how, why, what to do because they charge high hourly rates, so Im pretty much on my own. I bought Fix-It Utilities 9 Professional at Office Max at the advise of their salesman, than another man said I don't need to pay them, I can get a scan/analysis done free with you. When I bought the tower used at a computer repair shop it had the Windows seal and numbers, but no disc to reload if it crashes. So I thought using the rescue disc that is included with the software package may make it worth loading it anyway. I don't think the store would take it back after I've had it sitting around for months, afraid to load it, and also afraid not to, as I don't have the original Windows XP disc to fix it if it gets an electrical overload or ?
