| 8/1/2009 12:51:29 PM | I actually built my computer and have not had any issues until two weeks ago. The problem is that the computer is randomly shutting down. I thought I had it troubleshooted to my external drive since after it was "on" briefly the computer quit. However, even with it "off" the computer shuts down after a period of time. I thought it was a "overheating" issue as the case near the power supply gets hot to the touch. I opened and dusted that case and components two days ago and replaced the power supply last night -- that didn't help. I'm fearing that the overheating may have caused damage to the motherboard and may need to be replaced. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot internal hardware issues. |
