After getting it back it was a total mess. I've spent hundrads of dollars buying programs such as this to fix it sence dell wasn't interested in helping me. |

| 1/2/2013 11:00:02 AM | Dell XPS 15z. Has system disk not found issues. Has nVidia 540M that shares the same heat-pipe to heatsink cooling solution as the CPU. GPU overheats during games resulting in system freeze and requiring hard reboot. Solution for the GPU is to underclock your videocard by 100Mhz using MSI Afterburner or the preferred method is to limit max CPU to 80% under CTRL PANEL Power Plan thus inhibiting Intel Turbo Boost and allowing the CPU to feed less heat to the GPU die on the way to the sink, this gives minimum FPS loss and the GPU runs 10-14 Deg C cooler. |
