This is a fairly new computer, and for the most part, I am quite happy with it. It does occassionally lock/freeze up, but not what I would call "frequently." Although, I have noticed it more lately, after installing several programs (facebook, skype, etc), so I want to make sure I am protected. |

Windows Vista 64 bit has been a pain. Some of the drivers originally installed were not totally compatible.
HP skimped on the video memory.
If I'm using the browser with a slow Wi-Fi Signal the entire computer is prone to locking up.
If restore, virus scanning, indexing and other background programs decide to start simultaneously the computer can lock up or at the very least render it impossible for the user to do anything with it. |

The computer has 4gb ram and an HD Radeon 3200gfx card, i purhcased it at the very beginning of this year, and it used to run great. I have 100 gigs of music and 10 gigs of photos, but its always run great with it before. THis all started not too long ago when I tried to run a live broadcast of me playing a game through a gaming messenger called X-Fire. I've already uninstalled it and done so many tests and everything I can think of and its still lagging. |

This PC/Laptop is a good all-around computer. However, when I purchased it, there was a great deal of unnecessary programs already installed. Most of those can't ever be completely removed. And really Vista is cool looking and more intuitive than XP, but Microsoft always is way too slow-- IN GENERAL!! That is in business and especially in product development. |

The only way to turn on the wifi is with a buttonless button bar which only works half the time. Also, the volume control bar (also controlled by the buttonless button bar) appears on the screen randomly and interferes with other work in progress. There is a QuickPlay button labeled on the button bar which apparently does nothing. HP Pavilion dv7 laptop. |

It keeps telling me I am not the administrator so won't run fsutil but I'm the only user and it says I am in the administrator in the control panel. It also keeps showing a drive consistency error on bootup and says I can bypass it but then freezes so I have to press the power button and hope that the next time it actually gets past the drive consistency error. |
