| 12/5/2010 10:34:43 AM | Thgis ACER ocks up all the time, I sacrificed run time for battery life,I had to get a BYTECC Aluminum Notebook Cooler Model NC-500 (USB) to keep it from running hot. I will not buy an Acer again. I will stick with Dell which I have had several laptops and a 7 year old Dimension with XP still running strongly. My Dells have never given me any problems.I am not PC illiterate and have built at least 10 desktops myself but now I can buy a new one cheaper than I can build one.I got this Acer as a last in store display model with full warranty and a free Win7 upgrade which I have not installed yet. I don't mind Vista. I have several friends with Vista on their PCs so I like to be able to help them should they encounter OS problems. I have Win7 on a Dell Vostro 1720 which I use for my personal computing. It has never vinen me any trouble just like my Dell Inspiron E1505 with XP. I don't know if Win7 would run any better on here. It may use more processes and run worse. Thank you |
