| 10/9/2010 2:36:13 PM | Computer will shut down compleatly, sometimes after it has been on for an hour or so,and sometimes only after a short time. Also, when I start it after it's been off for a day or so, it gets a message, on the black page with white lettering, that says that it is going to run a disk check and that I can bypass it by pressing any key. It doesn't respond to my pressing any key and countds down from 10 to 1, stops at one and nothing happens. It just freezes in that state until I, evendtually, turn off the computer by the start key. Then I restart it and press F12(or F10) and start a scan for about 15 min. I, then, discontinue the scan and it usually starts up. Because of this problem, I never shut-down this computer compleatly, but put in into hibernation instead. It doesn't do this when I re-start it, only when I shut it down. It also runs very slow, at times, like when I used to have dial-up internet. |
