| 8/6/2010 8:55:07 AM | this lap top is 4.5 years old, so it has been pretty reliable, only lately we have had trouble with the internet service and most recently it holds no battery charge and the internet switch is shot, so I had to purchase a USB adapter switch by Belkin, to get it up and running and my daughter only uses the charger cord when using this lap top. |

But the case, the actual houseing of the internal components, such as the Motherboard etc, is poorly made. The hinges on this laptop have been breaking slowly since I got it. |

| 8/12/2009 2:00:58 AM | Had a catastrophic crash (possibly from a virus) and didnt use it for a year, thinking i needed to replace the hard drive. my tech savy bro used the internal recovery disk to get all our photos and programs back but the online help from HP did not even suggest it as a possibility. i am happy the recovery drive worked but its lousy that no one at HP suggested it. it is running glitchy no but im hoping some more cleaning will help. |
