7/6/2010 9:30:13 AM This computer is a e-machine, purchased @ Best Buy.It has 2 cooling fans, and i can tell when the fans are laboring too get out of certin programs or web sites. it hasbeen worked on may bee 5 times. Every time iget it worked on. It only lasts a week or two. so i am looking for someone or something to teach me what to do. It happens to all my pc's. Thats why i purchast thes c.d.

If this don't portect my computer from viruses then I really need to know how to get something on here for that. Thanks Brandy

2/25/2011 2:53:37 PM I recently added 2 GB of DDR memory and a 2nd 500 GB SATA internal hard drive,with original 160 GB C-drive, so lots of power. CD-rom and Dual later DVD burner. So I like this computer- lots of features! A keeper!

3/8/2011 3:16:44 AM The service program in Norton Internet Security causes zero CPU idol time (locks up the PC). Register problems?? The good thing is this computer runs faster with the upgrade to 2 GB of DDR memory. It has an Intel Pentium 4 processor 519, and a 160 GB, 7200 RPM SATA H-Drive.

2/18/2011 4:13:37 PM Fan "revs up" whenever I get on the Internet (via Internet Explorer) and often freezes intermittently. I would bet that I have some sort of "infection" running in the background however, I have tried several things to find and kill it but have been unsuccessful.

1/31/2011 3:33:36 AM My internet turns off during in use. I have to turn everything off for about a muntes to get it back on and sometimes that don't work so I haveto do it again until I do get the internet back on. I don't think it is my computer because it happens to the labtops as well.

7/18/2009 11:27:53 AM This is an eMachine (Gateway) computer that has crashed 4 times, resulting in a reformat/system recovery each time. I subsequently bought a 500GB external hard drive after the 2nd recovery, which saved me from endless heartache over lost data. I would not recommend the purchase of an eMachine desktop.
